Pilates
"You are only as young as your spine is flexible" - Jospeh Pilates
What is Pilates & Why Is It So Good?
Pilates is a low-impact but highly effective form of exercise that focuses on strength, mobility, posture and control. Using precise, intentional movements, Pilates strengthens the deep stabilising muscles, improves flexibility, supports joint health and builds long, lean strength throughout the body.
What makes Pilates so powerful is that it meets you exactly where you are. Whether your goal is to move better, feel stronger, recover from injury or challenge your body in new ways, Pilates can be adapted to suit every body and every level. One minute you might be experiencing the best stretch of your life, and the next… a serious glute burn. That’s the magic of Pilates.
Classical Contemporary Pilates – What Does That Mean?
I describe my teaching style as Classical Contemporary Pilates.
This means I stay true to the core principles and structure of Classical Pilates, while integrating modern movement science, functional strength and contemporary coaching techniques. The result is Pilates that is intelligent, purposeful and effective — without being rigid or outdated.
You’ll experience:
Strong foundations rooted in classical Pilates
Thoughtful progressions and modifications
A balance of mobility, strength and control
Challenging, empowering movement that still feels accessible
My Pilates Journey
My Pilates journey began with a strong passion for bodyweight strength training and a curiosity about how the body moves and functions as a whole. I immersed myself in the original work of Joseph Pilates, purchasing his book and teaching myself his full repertoire. This deepened my understanding of the method’s foundations: control, precision, breath and flow.
I completed my Pilates training in Australia, where the standard of teaching was incredibly high and deeply rooted in both knowledge and movement quality. I am fully qualified in both Mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates.
Through my training, I was exposed to a wide range of Pilates styles — from classical and clinical approaches to more modern and contemporary practices. This gave me the opportunity to observe, learn and experience how different methods serve different bodies and goals.

Pilates for Everyone
One of the things I love most about Pilates is how inclusive it is. Pilates truly is for everyone — beginners, experienced movers, athletes, and those returning to movement after time away. Sessions can be gentle, supportive and restorative, or strong, sweaty and seriously challenging. If you’re looking to build strength, move better, and feel more connected to your body, Pilates is an incredible place to start — and I’d love to guide you through it.
